Hello, and welcome to the home of Costume Portrait Day, the lovechild of UAL's Life-Drawing Society and ASEAN Society. We were inspired by a monthly portrait day organised by the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC) in Singapore, and decided to start a series of days where artists can come together to draw people in an informal, fun environment, and make some money out of it too. You don't need to have an art background, or to be an expert in anatomy or portraiture to join. All you need are your eyes, hands, some paper and a good sense of fun and adventure.
This month's Costume Portrait Day will be on 23 February 2011, 1-7 pm, at Blueprint Bar 272 High Holborn WC1V 7EY.
So bring your rabbit ears, ratty top hats, clown noses and anything that you saved from last year's Halloween party, and get ready to strike a pose.
